Hi! My name is Faith, and I am a crew member at the farm. Before I even started my time at Duke, I knew I wanted to be a part of the farm. My first time visiting as a student was with NAISA where I got to harvest Jerusalem artichokes that were then roasted and put on pizzas that we ate around a bonfire. During my first year, I also came to a community work day and a contra dance (which was so much fun). I am so happy to be able to work on the farm this year; it brings a lot of peace to my week and a feeling of contributing to something greater than myself. This year, I hope to see more people come to the farm and help inspire students to give back to the earth. The Duke Campus Farm might be a little far from main campus, but it is a heart of Duke!
