Maia is an east coast native and a '22 alum of both Duke and DCF's field crew. She was most recently the farm's Sloss Fellow, and is now holding down the fort and managing the farm alongside Lauren Ballejos while Izzy Brace takes her maternity leave. Maia cares deeply about learning through embodied practice, building deep and genuine community with land and more-than-human beings, and working towards a decolonized food system. When not on the farm, they can be found swimming in the river, knitting, and listening to bluegrass shows at Cat's Cradle.
