Sloss Fellow

Christina grew up in Armonk, New York, where she developed a love for the outdoors and walking around barefoot. She graduated Duke in 2024 with a major in Linguistics and minors in Journalism and French. While at Duke, Christina was a two-time captain of the varsity fencing team, a supervisor and trip leader for Outdoor Adventures, and a work trader at DCF. The summer before her senior year, she worked in New Orleans as a features journalist for the Times-Picayune. Christina is excited to join the DCF team as their second Sloss Fellow and incorporate her love for food and sustainability with education, writing, and connecting with others.

Christina leads our Community Work Days and communications work, and she supports the Assistant Director in co-curricular and community-facing programming. If you’re a student looking to bring a club or group out to the farm, or you’re interested in student collaborations outside of the traditional classroom shoot her an email- she loves connecting new faces + old friends to the acre.
