The Duke Campus Farm is proud to partner with organizations at Duke and in Durham who have been helping folks access fresh and nutritious food for years. This year we are donating our produce to the following organizations:
Root Causes
Root Causes is a student-led organization rooted in Duke's Medical School, focused on the underlying causes of illness and addressing these through education and outreach, community service, and advocacy. Our key collaboration with Root Causes is through donations to their Fresh Produce Program at the Duke Outpatient Clinic.
GPSG Community Pantry
The Duke Graduate and Professional Student Government Community Pantry addresses food insecurity by providing students and their families with reliable access to nutritious food. With a secure source of sustenance, these students can focus on their academic pursuits without worrying about their next meal.
West End Free Market
The West End Free Market is organized by CANDOR (Chronically-Ill, Austistic, Neuro-eclectic Disabled Organization for Reclaimation) and the West End Community Foundation. This market supports the West End, Lyon Park, and Lakewood communities by offering organic, local, high-quality fresh produce and dry goods for free, while also creating accessible employment opportunities folks with autism, disabilities, and neurodivergence.
